School Introduction
The School of Economics consists of Departments of Economics, Business Administration, and Business Law. All department students study basic subjects of each department as common subjects so that they can have a comprehensive understanding of inter-relationships among economy, business administration, and business law. Each department has adopted a daytime and an evening course system. In the daytime course, students decide on their major courses in the second year and obtain detailed and specialized knowledge through interdisciplinary studies.

Department of Economics
The Department of Economics covers a broad spectrum of subjects, which enables students to study economy from many different angles. This includes fundamental and applied studies, economic systems and history, statistical analysis of economic data, and regional and specific issues. The department provides the educational service which leads students to obtain economic thinking on various issues.
Department of Business Administration
The goal of the Department of Business Administration is to nurture professionals with problem-solving capabilities and broad business outlook. To achieve this goal, the Depart offers systematic and interdisciplinary study of the four main subjects: business administration, accounting, commerce, and management science. Through lectures and seminars, students can obtain understanding and a wide range of knowledge about practical corporate management.
Department of Business Law
The Department of Business Law offers systematic study on public laws, civil laws, and corporate law with the curriculum which is nearly equivalent to the one of a school of law. The curriculum are designed to prepare students to obtain deeper understanding of law and legal systems, and cultivate a legal mind, as well as providing specialized knowledge regarding economics and business administration. For students who hope to be legal professionals and government officials, subjects related to each test (the Constitution, Administrative Law, Civil Law, Corporate Law, and Criminal Law) are lectured in the Department. For students who hope to work for global companies and financial institutions, practical lectures on International Business Law and the Financial Instrument and Exchange Act are available so that they can obtain knowledge, essential for businessperson who needs the knowledge of law.
Graduate School of Economics (Master's degree programs)
Graduate School of Economics has two Master's degree programs in "Regional and Economic Policy" and "Business Administration."
Course System
The School of Economics consists of three departments: Department of Economics, Department of Business Administration, and Department of Business Law. In addition, seven courses were set up in 2004. Each department selects 4 courses out of 7 courses. Taking advantage of the school of integrated social sciences with three departments, this course system enables students to obtain extensive interdisciplinary knowledge and to study systematically subjects with clear directions for their future professions. Students select their course when they move up to the second year.
